My all-in-one 20-c434 Christmas present is a real dog; Can I replace the Sata hd with an SSD?
I understand I can't upgrade the cpu that is soldered in, but will certainly add four more Mb of memory.
Anyone else use an SSD now?

There is a single RAM (memory) slot, so this is a good choice.
I can not locate, as yet, a service manual that depicts the interior. I would like to see the insides.!!!😀
Crucial states no SSD , but the motherboard does have a SATA data header for the hard drive, and power connector.

Wb 2001,
Thanks, again, for your reply! I'd gone through all 145 questions searching for answers. Regarding my memory
upgrade, I saw different responses to what I was wondering. Some said 4Gb was max, some said 8Gb, and still
others said 16Gb. Even sales sites at Best Buy, Cnet, and Newegg said 16Gb was fit for my machine. After a few
hours of looking around at Tom's Hardware, HP, and other sites, I find that it all depends on your processor. AMD A4
processors apparently can only handle 8Gb, while 6th gen Intels are those that go to 16Gb. Your 8Gb Crucial is what
I went with.
This reply is mainly for other new owners of a 20-c434 who may be wondering the same thing. I have yet to buy
an SSD for it, though that will be soon. Asking "chat specialists" about putting in a faster cpu resulted in both a
"yes" answer, and a "no" answer. The latter said the cpu is soldered in. I guess I don't know if it's worth it after the
other two improvements!
So long and best wishes...
