For the SFF, MT and CMT form factors, see the HP Quickspecs at the link below for the list of supported processors HP offered in the model series:

 

Pages 7 & 8

 

HP Compaq 8200 Elite Series (manualslib.com)

 

In addition to those, the i7-2600K is also supported.

The USDT uses different processors. Look at the applicable columns on pages 7 & 8.

What form factor 8200 Elite do you have?

 

CMT. MT. SFF or USDT?

 

I have no idea what a th7 is...

You're very welcome.

 

Unfortunately, the HP 8200 Elite only supports the Intel 2nd generation core processors.

 

The BIOS and chipset cannot support anything newer than that.

 

So, you can upgrade the processor to an i7-2600 and that would be it.

 

I have two 8200 Elite CMT's running W11 23H2.

 

They have 32 GB of memory, 2.5" SSD's and run great just the way they are.
