Hi @JVB101,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are unable to click on #3 button number on the mouse. I would request you to please share me the Serial Number of the mouse and also try disconnecting the mouse and connect it again.

Connect the mouse to a different computer

  • If the mouse does not work as expected, connect the mouse to a different computer.
  • Make sure that you have a second computer in working condition, and then turn on that computer.
  • Connect the mouse to the second computer using the USB receiver or Bluetooth.
  • If the mouse does not work with the second computer, the mouse might be defective.
  • If the mouse works with the second computer, continue troubleshooting.

Run Component Tests in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to test the mouse

  • Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  • Turn on the computer and immediately press esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu is displayed, press the f2 key.
  • On the Main Menu, click Component Tests.
  • To run the tests, click Mouse/Touchpad, select the test to run, and then click Run once. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.

Note:

Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.

Selecting Component Tests on the Main Menu

Uninstall & Reinstall Mouse Drivers (Windows)

  • Open Device Manager: Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Locate the Mouse: Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Uninstall: Right-click your HP mouse (e.g., "HID-compliant mouse" or "HP 935 Creator Wireless Mouse") and select Uninstall device.
  • Confirm: Check the box that says "Attempt to remove the driver for this device" (if shown) and click Uninstall.
  • Restart: Restart your computer immediately. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver upon rebooting.
