Hi McMillian,

A 1GB DDR DIMM stick from Samsung is known to work well with the P4SD motherboard of the HP D530:

The stick exists under the two above references, both flavour being based on the same K4H510838x-xxCC Samsung modules (64Mbps x8 - DDR400 CL3) and having the same 3-3-3-3 timings on SPD. According to Samsung's specifications, 2923 and 6423 sitcks should have different capacities (128Mbsx64=1GB and 64Mbitsx64=512MB respectively), although both of mine have a 1GB capacity. I do not explain the discrepancy.

I have at the moment on the motherboard two sticks, one M368L2923CUN-CCC and one M368L6423FTN-CCC, delivering together 2GB at a 400MT/s rate, in dual channel mode. Processor is a Pentium 4 SL6WJ (one of the last Nortwood H.T., with a FSB at 800MT/s and a decent ~60W TDP).
