HP Envy h8-1485ea Desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this PC for a few years now and although I keep the start up programs to a minimum the boot up time is now approx. 5 minutes.

I believe that this pc has a 16 GB Disk Caching solid state drivewhich I thought was supposed to prevent slow boot up times.

The PC is a HP Envy h8-1485ea Desktop  64-bit system.

Is it possible that when i upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10 that the operating system was installed on the main 3TB hard drive? If it was, how should I move it to the SSD drive?

Or should I upgrade the SSD drive  and if so, to what specification?

The purpose of the 16 GB Disk solid state drive is to speed up memory access, not to speed up the boot time.

The upgrade to Windows 10 was done to the operating system on the 3TB hard disk. Windows 10 upgrade will not install to an SSD as small as 16GB.

You can install a SATA SSD that is 160 GB and greater capacity and configure it as a boot disk.

Use the 3TB hard disk as storage.

It is recommended that you clone the current boot disk to the SATA SSD before installing it in the desktop PC.

That will ncrease the boot time and operation of the PC.
