@ron30 -- if you launch Windows Update, then below the list of suggested updates is a downloadable app that tests your computer for compatibility with Windows 11. What results do you get from this app?

It is good that the "official" Microsoft test indicates that your computer is "ready for Windows 11".

You could keep using Windows 10 for 4 years, since Microsoft will support Windows 10 through October 2025.

yes, it good, but it still has a x on it,, trying to find out why when it passes everything it ask for, it still has a x, because after nov 2025 there be no update unless it passes,, and it pass everything but still has a x..... that mean it will not get update,  i want to be able to get update after 2025, no one say why it don't pass even after it pass everything ask for, so please don't act like you don't understand, it Ryzen5 2400g ,,, for some reason Microsoft say it don't pass, why   . if you don't know just say you don't know, hp blame Microsoft and Microsoft blames hp lol who do you blame, because i don't see anything about why or that there looking into it,,, thanks and have a good night, i talk to you about video card today under a different name you did good on that, just don't beat around something ,,, hp and Microsoft has did real good , just not on this this is going to hurt a lot of people with money and it wrong!

@ron30 -- i want to be able to get update after 2025

Blame Microsoft for having a "Product Lifecycle Policy" for all their software products.

Their policy sets a ten-year lifetime for all of their software products, including versions of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.

So, "Office 2010" is no longer supported -- meaning no security-fixes will be issued.

And, "Office 2013" is supported into early 2023.

And, "Windows XP" achieved  its "sunset" in 2014.

And, Windows Vista achieved its "sunset" in 2017.

And, Windows 7 achieved its "sunset" in January 2020.

Windows 10 will be supported through October 2025.

By 2025, my expectation is that any disk-drive manufactured between 2010 (when Windows 7 was released) and today (2021) will definitely be an "antique" in late 2025 -- and will not be "reliable".

Note that some large businesses are PAYING Microsoft for extended support for Windows XP and/or Windows 7. Those businesses claim that their software has not been verified to be compatible with Windows 10, and so they cannot upgrade their computers.

How much do you want to pay, per month, after October 2025, to join that "privileged" set of customers?
