hp pavilion 23-b010ea
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

PC does not recognise the installation of RAM upgrade of 2 8gb ddr3 pc3-12800 1600mhz 204-pin sodimm

installed on hp pavilion 23-b010ea

PC fails to boot post install

Have fitted both, swapped slots, fitted one, swapped slots and then reverted back to original memory card

Is there something else I need to consider adjusting before throwing in the towel?

@acrobat1 , welcome to the Community.

Here is the Product Specifications page: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-23-b000-all-in-one-desktop-pc-series/5295897/model/...

If you look at the section titled "Memory upgrade information" it shows that the maximum memory for the motherboard is 8 GB.  This would be 2x4 GB.  This is why the computer won't boot with the 2x8 GB.

Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.
