HP PRODESK 600 G1TOWER product no. C8T0AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hello. i upgraded my hp prodesk 600 g1 tower by adding a 500gb ssd boot drive and the original 500 hdd as a secondary storage. for the ram upgrade to 32 gb, what is the best configuration to maximize performance and speed? 4 X 8gb ddr3 1600mhz in all the four slots or 2 X 16gb in the two slots only? i already checked crucial website for the maximum and compatible rams. thank you very much.

Hi:

The PC wasn't designed to run 16 GB modules in each slot, so 2 x 16 GB may or may not work.

I wouldn't recommend it.

The safe bet would be to go with 4 x 8 GB of memory.

I don't believe it would make any difference anyway even if 2 x 16 GB memory did work in two slots.
