601 is usually a laptop battery alert but you posted in the desktop forum.

Also, exactly what is blinking?  An LED blinking can simply indicate the disk drive is active.

Can you run diagnostics?

Check to see if there is a hardware problem: Watch this video.

Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.

If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty

please le me know what you find out.

my entire screen is blinking

If your screen flashes every time you move the mouse it is likely a video driver or mouse driver problem.

Does the problem occur when running the UEFI (F2) diagnostics?

HP is removing cloud recovery for many systems over 5 years old. The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires. You may want to go here and get a copy of your cloud recovery before it is too late.

You can install windows 10 or 11  using Microsoft tools and, if needed, obtain any missing drivers from HP.

If your system is working you can do a reset of windows 10 and preserve your files. Read this first and then watch this video to see how to do it.

If your system is not working then you must use another PC and create a windows 10 installation USB. If your PC was licensed for windows 10 home then be sure to install the home version of 10 (or 11 if compatible)
