hp omen 40l gt21
Microsoft Windows 11

I have spent the last month trying to find what case fans work in my hp omen 40l gt21. I've ordered and attempted to install thermalintake rgb fan and af120 elite corsair fans. the corsair fans has a lighting node that i can wire up because the mother board only has 1 usb 2 connection. the fans power on but the rgbs dont work. the thermalintake rgb fans work but you cant control the speed, they were stuck at 2000 rpms. I've looked on hp for the oem fans and cant find them. i just want to ad the 2 top fan and the front case fan that should have been installed from hp. what can i buy that is plug and play on this pc that i can control the speed so they do not come apart inside my pc. i would be just find ordering the stock fans from hp but thats a joke. it should not be this hard just to find replacement parts for a prebuilt pc. hp dropped the whole ball game on this and using A.i ,reddit, github, facebook, tiktok, and youtube had no help as apparently know one knows the 40l was produced but at the store they sell like hot cakes. Thanks for the help in advance as I'm ready to pull what little hair i have out.

Hi @kingleo82

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Have you looked at getting an internal single 9 pin USB 2.0 adapter to add USB 2.0 components?

This might work with the Corsair fans using Corsair software and The Corsair Fan Controller Hub to control fan speed and RGB.

Something like this at Amazon.

Can't verify it will work but it's worth a try at the price.

Regards
