@mvf181,

Actually, whilst squireling around eBay-US, I noticed this MXM thermal module with p/n: 694456-002that appears to look identical to the one specified for your AIO:

Link: HP 35w MXM 3.0 Thermal Mod 2GB Heatsink NEW 694456-002 YCDAI-2 Type-a Devon Lapt | eBay.

Unfortunately, sometimes you have to try out things to see if it works. Meaning, if I were to upgrade an HP TouchSmart Elite 7320 All-in-One PC, I would consider purchasing it and trying it out.

Kind Regards,

@mvf181,

Welcome to our HP Community Forum!

That is a very good question, and the answer is that you really need an MXM heat sink (or 'thermal module' as HP calls it) in order to adequately cool an MXM graphics card.  You are likely to fry your MXM card without a thermal cooling module.

There are, apparently, two different heat sinks made for your HP TouchSmart Elite 7320 All-in-One PC.

1.) HP p/n: 671562-001 " Graphics card thermal heat module (35 Watts)" for up to 35-watt TDP MXM cards.

2.) HP p/n: 671548-001 "Thermal module (heat sink) for use with the AMD/Intel processors, 65 Watts TDP" for up to 65-watt TDP MXM cards.

Shown below is the 35-watt thermal module, the 65-watt module likely sports two copper heat pipes just like the processor heat sink:

Knowing the part numbers is one thing.  The challenge is to find any of these MXM heat sinks, I was unable even to find one for sale in the US.

Kind Regards,

@erico,

Yes, I tried those Google searches, but no (as in zero) purchase options.

I see purchase options. Here are a few of them. They are a bit pricey.

If you use the HP PartSurfer and input a part number, you can see all of HP products a part number is used in.

@erico,

Yes, the ITPartHelp link appears to offer a purchase option for the 35-watt thermal module -that is, maybe. I just send them an email.  Awaiting their reply:

Thing is, the challenge I recognized with the OP (situated in the UAE) is being able to get the part. Concerning international shipping, ITPartHelp says, quote: "We welcome all international orders that can be verified and approved as authentic."

Assuming the OP can be verified as "authentic" (whatever that means), it is going to be expensive:

Summarizing, that would be at least $64 + $105.55 (USPS Priority Mail), not counting any import tariffs/taxes.

Anyway, the other links may not be applicable to this discussion (or somehow these businesses are posting the wrong pictures):

@mvf181,

Unfortunately, even in the US it would be exceedingly unlikely that you could purchase a thermal module for $10.
