HP Desktop PC M01-F3000a (6G6E4AV)

I need to increase the storage capacity on my HP DESKTOP M01-F3007np with a second SSD disk. Can you help me how to do it? Thanks

You're very welcome.

Yes, absolutely you can do that but first make sure that your PC has the SATA power cable available to connect to the 2.5" SATA SSD and you will also need a SATA data cable.

Most likely the data cable would not be there since your PC did not come with a 3.5" mechanical hard drive.

Also, since you will be using the drive for additional storage and not as a boot drive, plug the data cable in the SATA 1 port.

The SATA 0 port is used when you use the SATA drive as a boot drive.

If you plug the SATA cable in the SATA 0 port, the PC will want to boot from that drive and not the NVMe SSD.

Your PC only has support for one M.2 NVMe SSD.

There isn't a second slot for another NVMe SSD.

If you want to increase the NVMe storage, you will have to replace the 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.

Thank you for the valuable information. But I would like to know if it is possible to install another SSD disk, for example Kingston A400 SATA, or Kingston KC600 SATA, or mSATA, in an expansion bay. Keeping the original M.2 NVMe disk. Thanks.
