I recently purchased a 4TB NGFF SSD and have tried to install it onto my motherboard. I have tried both M.2 slots, but it is not recognised in the BIOS or in Windows 11 25H2.
Can someone please advise on the following?
1) How do I prep the M.2 NGFF SSD drive, which currently has a single partition (GPT) formatted to NTFS
2) Set up BIOS to recognise the M.2 NGFF SSD drive.
My plan is to clone my OS (Windows 11 25H2), which is currently sitting on a 2TB HDD (2.5).
What are the requirements/restrictions on using both M.2 slots and three SATA drives? Here is what I want to set up: M.2 Slot 1: 1 x 4TB boot drive, partitioned into three; M.2 Slot 2: 1 x 2TB; and the three 4TB SSD drives. Is this possible?

You're very welcome.
I never heard of a Samsung 980 EVO 4TB NGFF M2 SATA SSD before.
I have a 1 TB Samsung 980 M.2 SSD in my 800 G3 DM, and it is NVMe.
Unfortunately, the 800 G4 SFF M.2 slot only supports NVMe SSDs.
See page 15 of the HP 800 Elite model series Quickspecs at the link below:
HP Elite 800 G4 Business Desktop Business PCs
Even the older 800 G3's M.2 slot only supports NVMe SSDs.
That would be the reason the M.2 SATA SSD isn't working.
You need a drive like this:
990 PRO PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD MZ-V9P4T0B/AM | Samsung US
A Crucial drive is somewhat less expensive:
Crucial P310 4TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe M.2 CT4000P310SSD8 - Best Buy
Unfortunately, this is not a good time to buy SSDs or memory due to the high demand for memory chips.

What is the full model number of your PC?
What type of M.2 drive did you install?
SATA or NVMe.
NGFF seems to indicate SATA when I google the term.
If your PC was made in the last 5 years or so, the M.2 slot most likely only supports NVMe SSDs.
