Hey guys,

I recently bought a SanDisk WD_BLACK SN7100 SSD and I’m planning to install it in my PC.
Before I go ahead and do that, I’d really appreciate some guidance to make sure everything is compatible and that I don’t cause any issues later on.

I believe that my PC should support two SSDs, but I’m not 100%  sure, and I want to make sure I install it correctly, (slot compatibility, BIOS settings, etc)

Could you please advise on whether my system supports a second SSD and if theres anything specific I should be aware of before installing?

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

If you are referring to the same PC you asked about in this discussion...

Solved: Re: New SSD - HP Support Community - 9547260

...it comes with a HP 'Baker' motherboard.

Below is the link to the Baker motherboard specs:

HP Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Baker | undefined

Your PC only has support for one M.2 NVMe SSD and one M.2 Wi-Fi adapter.

If your PC already has a M.2 NVMe SSD installed, you would have to remove the existing drive to install the WD BLACK SN7100.
