I need alittle help. I have a HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a (2Z6C8   Iwas wanting to add a hard drive. would i be able to do it. If so what is the max drive and what kind would i need to get. Thank you.

There is no additional M.2 socket for SSD's.  However, you should be able to add a small 2.5" SSD if you can find a vacant space in your case.  These SSD's are very small and can be mounted with velcro.  You will need a SATA power cable and connector and SATA data cable.  There may be a bay for a 3.5" hard drive (HDD), but HP doesn't give us this information any longer.  If there is a bay you can use an adapter for a 2.5" SSD to 3.5" bay.  Either scenario should work fine.

 

Since it will be installed as a storage drive, you will have to go into the Disk Management, right click on the drive and select "Mark Partition as Active".  Otherwise the system will not recognize that it is installed.
