Hi, I have an HP Compaq 8000 Elite CMT, and I'm wondering if I can upgrade to a new graphics card,
is my HP Compaq 8000 Elite CMT compatible with GeForce GTX 1050 Ti?

Hi:
I have some encouraging news for you.
I have a HP 8200 Elite CMT which has a UEFI BIOS, and it is running a nVidia GT 1030 graphics card just fine.
I also have a HP 8000 Elite CMT which does not have a UEFI BIOS, but it is running the latest BIOS update available.
I have an AMD Radeon HD 6570 graphics card in that one.
When I saw your post and for curiosities sake, I decided to experiment by installing the GT 1030 in the HP 8000 Elite.
I did not think it would work since the PC does not have a UEFI BIOS, but lo and behold, it works just fine.
So, all I can say is that if the GT1030 works in the 8000 Elite CMT, then the GT 1050ti also has a good chance of working.

i have a GTX1050 and it only uses 75watts max , 3D clocked max.
and runs on any PC , I have tested it on (vast), (it is part of my huge box of test kit GPU cards)
ON all PCs , full height cards, 4.2" tall that fits full height PC is yours>? yes.
if it fits it works.
for SURE. (if using secure boot are you , reload OS if yes)
CMT = fill wide PC, so fits.
also tried 25 other cards too, in my HP and dells , all.
GTX1650 (far far better) and still only 75watts, no need for bigger wattage PSU. either, and is TURING CLASS GPU.
fast fast fast.
no reason stated why NEED?
