HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-xa0024
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP 24-xa0024 desktop computer and the screen has been broken.  As I don't want to replace the screen with a touchnscreen if possible, can I replace it with a nontouch screen.

Hi @tws43,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how disappointing it can be when a screen breaks, especially on a beautiful All-in-One like the HP Pavilion 24-xa0024. You're absolutely right to ask whether you can replace the touchscreen with a non-touchscreen, and here's what I found for you:

Yes, you can replace the touchscreen with a non-touchscreen panel, but there are a few important things to keep in mind:

  1. Compatibility Matters
    The replacement screen must match:
    • Size: 23.8"
    • Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
    • Connector type and pin layout
    • Mounting brackets (some versions have them, some don’t)

  2. Touch vs Non-Touch Versions
Many HP Pavilion 24-xa0024 models use the LM238WF5-SSD1 panel, which comes in both touch and non-touch variants. You’ll need to confirm your original panel type and ensure the replacement matches the non-touch version

  3. BIOS and Drivers
If you switch to a non-touch panel, Windows will simply disable touch functionality; no BIOS changes are needed. You may want to uninstall touch-related drivers afterwards to avoid errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
