I want to upgrade my graphics card, cpu, and overall just make the computer run better because it gets caught up sometimes with to much multitasking.

Hi @roque_JackOsca,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Upgrading an all-in-one (AIO) computer like the HP Pavilion 24 can be a bit challenging compared to upgrading a traditional desktop. AIO systems often have limited upgrade options, and some components may be integrated or soldered onto the motherboard. Additionally, the cooling solutions in AIOs may not be designed to handle the heat generated by more powerful components.

Here are some general guidelines and steps you can take.

Check Upgradeability:

  • Review the documentation for your HP Pavilion 24 to see if it mentions any upgradability options. Some AIOs have accessible RAM or storage slots, while others may not be as upgrade-friendly.
  • Verify whether the CPU and GPU are integrated or soldered onto the motherboard. If they are soldered, upgrading them may not be possible.

RAM Upgrade:

  • If your AIO supports RAM upgrades, adding more RAM can improve multitasking performance. Check the maximum supported RAM capacity and the type of RAM your system uses (e.g., DDR4).

Storage Upgrade:

  • Consider upgrading to a faster and larger capacity SSD if your AIO has a standard SATA or M.2 slot for storage.

External GPU (eGPU):

  • Some AIOs support external GPU solutions through Thunderbolt ports. Check if your AIO has Thunderbolt support, and if it does, you can potentially use an eGPU to improve graphics performance. Keep in mind that this solution may have compatibility and performance limitations.

CPU Upgrade:

  • Upgrading the CPU in an AIO is generally more challenging, and it may not be possible if the CPU is soldered onto the motherboard. Check the specifications and documentation to determine the upgrade options for the CPU.

Cooling Considerations:

  • Be mindful of the cooling capabilities of your AIO. More powerful components generate more heat, and the existing cooling system may not be adequate. Overheating can lead to performance throttling or damage to the components.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
