Hi  @Jake288

Yes, we're talking about a more powerful CPU, and it's definitely a better option than the one you currently have.

@Jake288,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

What my fellow Community Expert @resistencia mentioned is all true and by the book, kudos to him.

Given the fact that one of my more recent upgrade projects is almost identical to your PC, an HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0030 -also fitted with the Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B), I can give you, let's say, more of an 'insider's POV what you can do potentially with your system.

My current 590-p0030 config is an Intel Core i5-9600KF (yes: the "K" versions are compatible with your system and perform beautifully!), a smaller-sized RTX 5070 12GB, 2x16GB of Kingston HyperX RAM running at 2666 MHz, a fast Netac M.2 NVMe SSD 500GB primary drive plus various secondary SATA storage drives: HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0xxx Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

Kind Regards,
