HP Touchsmart 520-1208er
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Today I tested Xeon e3 1230 v2. Not working. I saw that I have motherboard LavacaSB (yes?). So Ivy bridge not supporting officially. Other HP Touchsmart  520 models can have Lavasa3-SB inside which supporting Ivy Bridge. Whats the differences of these motherboards? My be I can solve upgrade problem with other method?

Hello
I'm not answering to tell you what to do, but just for information.
If we look at the two models, it seems that it is practically identical
I wonder if the bios version, couldn't help you
We only have one version given!
but if we look at the two models, you see that for one there is the SSID, not the other.
this is only a guess, the two models seem to me to be sufficiently identical, to be able to install the second one instead, but I could not affirm it
My question, is it worth it, to buy and a motherboard, and another processor, given the risk of possible failure, and perhaps not so much gain ..
