Hi @Lorrie69,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Great question! On many HP desktop keyboards, the Print Screen (PrtScn) key might not always be labelled with text; it can sometimes have an icon instead of letters, which can be confusing.

What to Look For

  • The Print Screen key is usually located in the top row, near the Insert, Home, or F12 keys.
  • If your keyboard uses icons, look for:
    • A rectangle with a smaller rectangle inside (representing a screen).
    • Sometimes it looks like a camera icon or a screen outline.

How to Take a Screenshot in Windows 11

  • PrtScn key alone: Captures the entire screen and copies it to the clipboard.
(Paste into Paint or Word using Ctrl + V.)
  • Windows + PrtScn: Captures the entire screen and saves it automatically in Pictures → Screenshots.
  • Alt + PrtScn: Captures the active window only.
  • Windows + Shift + S: Opens Snipping Tool for custom selection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
