OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC IDS Base Models (ArticunoI)
Microsoft Windows 11

Seems a simple question but chat was very unhelpful.  The power cord that came with it is too short.  What type or Voltage of cord should I get?  When I look at it, it says 300v.  But I cant seem to find that.  Will a standard 125v work?  Will that toast the warranty?

I need about 8ft

@ShawnE,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your OMEN 45L Gaming Desktop GT22-0450t (3K1G6AV) according to HP PartSurfer, comes with this power cord: M51844-001 ("SKO-CORD C13 1.83M STKR CONV NA") which is 6 feet long.

Honestly, I would go with a simple 3-feet extension cord, such as this inexpensive but excellent example: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extension-Cord-feet-Black/dp/B075BCD1LN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2QS....

This cord is good enough to pull 13 amps with 125 volts, that is it can handle more than 1,600 watts -far more than your desktop would ever draw.  And no, this solution will not affect your warranty in any way.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@ShawnE,

And in case I misunderstood your question -instead you need an additional 8-feet (not total 8-feet), go with the 10-feet extension cord option: Amazon.com: Amazon Basics 10-Foot Extension Cord - 13 Amps, 125V, Black : Tools & Home Improvement.
