Hi @MT800

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The HP 235 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo typically relies on the USB dongle for wireless connectivity to your computer. Unfortunately, these devices are designed to work wirelessly only with their specific dongle, so losing it means they may not function as intended.

Here are your options:

Purchase a Replacement Dongle:

  • Check with HP Support or authorized retailers for a replacement dongle compatible with your HP 235 Combo.

Consider a Wired Connection:

  • If immediate usage is necessary and compatible cables are available, using a wired connection could be a temporary solution if the devices support it.

Use Another Keyboard/Mouse in the Meantime:

  • Consider using another keyboard and mouse until you can get the replacement dongle.

Unfortunately, without the dongle, the wireless functionality cannot be utilized. Purchasing a replacement dongle is often the most straightforward resolution.
