I have had an HP AIO with the following configuration for three weeks:
HP OmniStudio X All-in-One Desktop 32-c0xxx
Motherboard ID: 8CF9
BIOS: F.03-08/05/2024
The only thing I really complain about with the configuration is that the processor fan already runs at high speeds in
normal operation (approx. 1900 RPM), and unfortunately there are no settings options in the BIOS.
As I often work remotely in my home office and mainly do word processing,
the noise of the fan is annoying.
Is there any software that can be used to control the fan?
Fan Controll or Speedfan do not work. 😞
Thank's for help, and please contact me under

Hi @Jewil1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OmniStudio X All-in-One desktop fan runs loudly during normal operation, it can indeed be quite distracting. Since traditional software like Fan Control or SpeedFan isn't compatible, you might consider the following options.
- HP Command Center: Check if the HP Command Center is installed. It often includes performance settings that might allow you to adjust fan settings or profiles.
- Windows Power Options: Adjust your power settings in Windows to a more power-efficient mode. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options and select "Power Saver" or adjust advanced settings to limit CPU performance, which might reduce fan speed.
- BIOS Update: Ensure your BIOS is up-to-date. Sometimes manufacturers release updates that improve fan control.
- HP Support Assistant: Use the HP Support Assistant to check for any software updates or tools that may help with fan management.
- External Tools: Although traditional fan control tools may not work, you might look for specific HP software solutions or utilities designed for your model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello Alden4,
I installed HP Command Center, but I can't really control the fans with it.
I also tried the other options, but unfortunately they weren't satisfactory.
In the BIOS (F.03-08/05/2024) there is no way to control the fans. Only the speeds can be read.
Do you know who I have to ask at HP so that the fan control can be implemented in the next BIOS update?
Can you suggest something like that?
Best regards

Hi Alden4
Thanks for the answer. I have already contacted the HP Germany Customer Support. The employee was also confused that the fans cannot be adjusted in the BIOS. Perhaps it is a programming error? I hope that an update will include fan control again. If you have any tips in the future, I would be happy to hear from you!
Thanks again for your help!
Best regards!
