I put a 500gb m.2 nvme ssd drive in a hp slimline 270-p033w. i would like to boot windows from this drive. i can see the drive in windows and i can see the drive in the bios under Storage Configuration. However, I cannot see the drive in the boot order? What am I doing wrong? To be honest i dont know if i put windows on the drive correctly or not? i have tried unplugging the old sata HD. I tried a whole bunch of trouble shooting tips. I have come to the conclusion either i did not put the windows image on the ssd correctly or there is something im missing? please help!!!
I do have windows 10 installed on the old HD. I just want to boot from the faster drive.

Try temporarily disconnecting the hard drive and see if the Windows boot manager automatically switches to the M.2 SSD.
If it does, then you know you installed Windows on the drive.
If it doesn't, leave the HDD disconnected try installing Windows on the drive again.
