OMEN 30L GT13-1018ns

good afternoon, i'd like to know if the motherboard hp oasis 886b Z590H supports at least one ssd m.2 pcie 4.0; on the technical specifications (https://support.hp.com/lt-en/document/c07056168) under expansions slots section is written;

  • One PCI Express 4.0 x16 lanes
  • One PCI Express 3.0 x1 lanes
  • One M.2 socket 1, key A
  • Two M.2 socket 3, key M (one for SSD card PCIe x4 Gen 3).
It means that the M socket are one for SSD PCIE x4 Gen 4 and one for SSD PCIE x4 Gen 3 ?
it could be useful to upgrade this product (https://support.hp.com/lt-en/document/c07719142) thank you

@Gui1975,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

That is a really good question.

Yes, that is exactly how I read it too: you got one M.2 Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD slot (located nearest to your processor), and one M.2 Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD slot:

And that is OK, as I/O speeds matters most for your primary (boot) drive.
