How much MEMORY can I add or replace?

Your PC can support up to 4 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 MHz memory.

 

See page 10 of the 800 G1 Quickspecs at the link below for the memory information.

4 of these chips should work:

I believe my computer uses DD4 memory.

You seem to  imply that I have 4 slots. Can I use 2X 16GB or any other layout?

If you have an 800 G1, it uses DDR3L-1600 as indicated in the HP Quickspecs link I posted earlier. 

 

The maximum memory each slot can support is 8 GB.
