After getting my computer from the repair, where it was running with their monitor, I connected up my computer and when turned the tower on then turned the monitor on _ _ the monitor said no VGA input signal monitor going to sleep. So why would it work at repair shop but not at my home???? They put a new motherboard in and it was up and running with their monitor but not with my monitor?????? Please help me if you can!!!!!! I am using a HP 21.5" wide screen LCD monitor product # FV585A

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about monitor problems and wanted to help.
Sorry, but without seeing your PC, it could be a number of different issues, none of which we can diagnose or fix from here.
For example, if your PC has both a video card and onboard graphics, the shop could have decided to use the jack you are not using, and to do that, they would have to disable the video YOU are using.
If the shop is withing driving distance, and it was my PC, I would take both the PC and the my monitor to the shop, explain the problem, and have them connect your monitor while you are there.
You deserve to have a working PC -- you paid for it to be fixed!!
Good Luck
