my monitor over heats a lot and its unuasual gets the whole room hot and its plugged into a main power brick and vents are cleaned and it heats up like 10 minutes after using it and proggesivly gets hotter and is not cramped in a space and has lot of air space and light isnt being faced at it to cause the heat 

i have a omen 34 inch 165hz

It’s definitely unusual for a monitor to generate enough heat to warm up an entire room, especially within just 10 minutes of use. Since you've already ensured proper ventilation and cleaned the vents, let’s go through a few more steps to help identify and resolve the issue:

 

Check Power Source and Cables

  • Ensure the monitor is connected directly to a wall outlet or a high-quality surge protector, not a power brick that may be overheating itself.
  • Try a different power cable if available, as a faulty one can cause abnormal power delivery and heat buildup.

Check Display Settings

  • Running the monitor at 165Hz constantly can generate more heat. Try reducing the refresh rate temporarily to 120Hz or 60Hz to see if it impacts the temperature.
    • Windows: Right-click on desktop → Display settings → Advanced display settings → Choose a lower refresh rate.

Monitor Internal Temperature (if supported)

  • Some OMEN monitors support temperature monitoring via the OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Download or update the OMEN Gaming Hub and check if it provides thermal data for your monitor.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Power off the monitor and unplug it from the wall.
  • Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and power it on. This can sometimes reset internal sensors or firmware glitches.

Test on Another System

  • Connect the monitor to a different PC or laptop. If the overheating persists, it’s likely a hardware issue with the monitor itself.
