HP All-in-One PC 27-dp0000wi.
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

mouse cursor jumps to top right corner of screen.  Sometimes closes window I am in, sometimes I can move the cursor back to where needed.  Used to only be after first turning on but now just keeps happening.

Have tried replacing batteries, deleting drivers,  ran sfc scannow, tried changing USB ports.

Tried to use the HP troubleshooting tips but window kept closing so gave up.

Virtual Assistant - can find nothing that is relevant

@JW451 -- have you tried a different mouse, or putting the mouse onto a mouse-pad?

Are you using a laptop computer, with a touchpad? Perhaps, the palms of your hands are too close to the touchpad, and thus are causing the mouse-pointer to move?  Note that "tapping" the touchpad is similar to clicking a mouse-button.

I am using an All-in-one PC so no touchpad.

I have tried with & without mousepad.

Unfortunately I don't have another mouse to try but have tried using other USB ports for the transceiver but nothing made any difference.

when we are out of lockdown I will borrow another set to try.
