hello sir,
I am hereby addressing the problem that my PC touchpad driver is not responding properly. Also, I haven't found any specific drivers on your website. My PC, due to the keypad issue, becomes too uneasy to operate, and the scroll of my touchpad is not showing any response. I downloaded various optional updates from Microsoft but got nothing satisfactory. So, I humbly request that you guide me through such an issue as soon as possible because I used to do many important tasks on my PC.
thank you
yours truely

Hi @KonarkSharma,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration with the touchpad driver issue on your HP laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
- Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, Windows updates include drivers for hardware components. Make sure your system is up to date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and checking for any available updates.
- Update Drivers Through Device Manager: You can try updating the touchpad driver through Device Manager. Right-click on the Start button, select Device Manager, expand the category for Mice and other pointing devices, right-click on your touchpad device, and select Update driver. Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software.
- Check HP Support Website: Visit the HP support website and search for drivers specific to your laptop model. Sometimes, touchpad drivers are listed under the "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices" section. Download and install the latest driver for your touchpad.
- Reinstall Touchpad Driver: If updating the driver doesn't work, try uninstalling the touchpad driver from Device Manager and then restarting your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver upon restart. To uninstall the driver, follow the steps above to open Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad device, and select Uninstall device.
- Perform System Restore: If the issue started recently after a software installation or update, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state where the touchpad was working fine. Search for "System Restore" in the Windows search bar to access this feature.
Remember to back up your important files before attempting any major changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
