i have a hp compaq dc7700 computer with a pentium d 925 processor, 6GB ram,windows 10 and a geforce gt 710 GPU.i would like to upgrade to a quad core processor ,if its posible ,i'd like to upgrade to the core 2 quad Q9650 or at least the Q6600.if not than can you tell me what the fastest cpu is that i can upgrade my pc with

I believe that other forum members have tried the 1066 MHz FSB quad cores, and they don't work.

The best processor you can install is the Conroe C2D E6700.

There is also a Wolfdale E6700 3.20 GHz processor.   

That one will not work, so make sure you get the right E6700 processor.
