Welcome to our HP Community forum!
To fix the issue with the outdated diagnostics version, follow these steps:
1. Update HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:
- Visit the official HP Support website: HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- In the search bar, type your PC model and navigate to the drivers section.
- Look for the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics update (if available).
- Download and install the latest version.
2. Manually Update HP Diagnostics (If Installed):
If you already have HP Diagnostics installed on your system, try these steps:
- Open HP Support Assistant (if installed).
- Go to the "Updates" section.
- Check for any available updates and install them.
3. Uninstall and Reinstall HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:
If updating doesn’t work:
- Open Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
- Find and uninstall HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the latest version from the aforementioned HP PC Hardware Diagnostics page.
4. Check Windows Update:
Ensure your system is fully updated:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security.
- Click on Check for Updates and install any updates.
After updating, try running the diagnostics again to see if the error clears.
Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!
Kind Regards,
