My HP Personal Media Drive is connected via USB but does not show on my list of drives. Both the power led and activity led are blinking. The drive has been dormant for a few months and now I can't connect with it.
PMD does not show up anywhere on my PC. Ideas?

Yours is the second response I've gotten. I have tried all the suggestion made by you both. No joy!
I'm not sure what you mean by troubleshooting attempts. If I can't see the PMD listed I don't think I can use Troubleshooters. If you meant something else, please explain. Thanks, Tertry

@talker
I'm referring to the USB port on the Media centre?
Have you tried connecting another USB device to the Media centre and checked?

My USB devices go through a Media Hub manufactured by ADS. They all function well even when plugged into the socket I normally use for my PMD. I think that indicates the problem is with the PMD itself? If not, tell where to go next but be nice and gentle. 8-)
Thanks,
Terry
