once i brough my victus laptop it was working all good and it was purchased during winters and the fan used to run at high speed only during heavy task and gaming for 10-15 minutes and it would turn off.
however now its summer and my hp vitcus laptop fan is always running at high speed and loud noise.
even if I do minimal task, I have requested for tech visit and the technician said that its normal during summers.
he has replaced both the fans and cleaned the dust - but still issue persists. like when i open laptop and till i shut down - the fan will be continuously running at high speed. all the tests showed as passed and i Dont seen any error pop up on the screen.
kindly assit

@its_navin, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like your laptop is experiencing excessive heat buildup, which is causing the fans to run continuously at high speeds. Here are some steps you can take to address the issue:
1. Ensure Adequate Ventilation
To prevent overheating, make sure your laptop has proper ventilation:
- Keep the laptop on a sturdy, level surface.
- Maintain at least 15.25 cm (6 inches) of clearance around each vent.
- Ensure the laptop is not in a confined space like a drawer or against a wall.
2. Update BIOS and Drivers
Outdated drivers or BIOS can sometimes cause system performance issues, including excessive fan noise.
- Use HP Support Assistant to find and install updates:
- Download the latest version of HP Support Assistant from HP Support Assistant if not already installed.
- Search for and open HP Support Assistant, then go to the My Dashboard tab.
- Select your computer and click on Updates.
- Wait for the analysis to complete, download and install any updates, and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Restart the computer if prompted.
3. Confirm Fans Are Working Correctly
You need to check if the fans inside the laptop are functioning properly even after replacement:
- Inspect fans physically, listen for unusual noises, and ensure they spin freely.
4. Ensure Clean Air Vents
Dust can cause overheating, so make sure vents are clean:
- Turn off the laptop, disconnect the power cord and cables, and wait for it to cool down.
- Use a vacuum to clean all exterior vents.
- Use canned air to clean the fans and components inside the laptop gently.
5. Optimize System Performance
High temperatures inside your laptop can arise from running multiple applications or graphically intense tasks:
- Adjust which applications run at startup using the Startup tab in Task Manager.
- Close applications when not in use and minimize the number of active programs.

By following these steps, you can help ensure that your HP Victus 15.6-inch gaming laptop runs efficiently and stays cool, preventing the fans from running at high speeds constantly.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
