Hi @allu7
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your wireless mouse is not working and you want to utilize your warranty, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue and potentially find your serial number:
1. Basic Troubleshooting:
- Check Batteries: Replace the batteries in your mouse if it uses them. If it's rechargeable, ensure it’s charged.
- Reconnect the Mouse: Unplug the USB receiver and plug it back in. You can also try connecting it to a different USB port.
- Turn the Mouse Off and On: If your mouse has a power switch, turn it off for a few seconds and then turn it back on.
2. Test on Another Device:
- Try connecting the mouse to a different computer to see if it works there. This can help determine if the issue is with the mouse or the original device.
3. Check for Interference:
- Ensure there are no other wireless devices causing interference. Move any potential sources of interference away from the mouse and receiver.
4. Driver Update:
- Ensure that your mouse drivers are up to date. Go to Device Manager, find your mouse under Mice and other pointing devices, right-click, and select Update driver.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
