Trying to locate/purchase internal optical drive for HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2234/318G6AA#ABA  -does not come with an internal optical drive, but it does have a slot that can accommodate one - Possible part # DU-8AESH - other Pavilion Desktop  models have it .

Mine - HP Pavilion Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 - 64GB Memory - 2TB SSD - Natural Silver

I don't know - purchased at Best Buy & will pick up next week - adding Ram, etc - They could not assist with adding the internal drive & HP has not been helpful - so been researching on my own -

Very few HP consumer class desktops come with optical drives anymore.

I found this parts list for one of the PC's in the TP01-2000a model series and there are several parts listed.

Some individually, such as the silver bezel and the ODD latch.

The part they list for the ODD and latch, I looked up on eBay, but an eBay listing shows a black bezel and your PC has a silver one according to the photos I have seen online.

There are cables listed in the parts list in case your PC doesn't have the power and data cables to connect the DVD drive to but they don't describe what they go to other than SATA power and SATA data.
