On my current box, I have a 230gb partition for windows and programmes. I don't know why it ended up being such an odd number.
For the most part it's fine with all the programmes I run I do have to keep tabs on the recycle bin as I'm at 190 of 230.
I figured 512 would be more than enough but I'll bear that in mind.
HP don't give many configuration options these days but I think I did the best I could. The last one I looked at was a 3k increase for a better 6 core xeon. So I gave up.

You can find out what Bios version you are running by clicking the windows start button, then start typing "system information." Once you see the option to click 'System Information,' click it. That will list many values including your BIOS version.
