@thorthecorgi -- it depends on your computer.
Some of the All-In-One computers have an HDMI-input port, in addition to an HDMI-output port.
So, the HDMI-output from your Switch can be routed "into" your computer, for displaying the video on the integrated screen.
If you have a desktop computer, do you have a separate computer screen (or TV), with TWO HDMI-input ports? If so, you can use the screen's controls to select HDMI-input-1 or HDMI-input-2?
Also, there exists an "A-B" switch. The HDMI-output from the Switch, and the HDMI-output from your computer, go into the switch, and you select which input will get "switched" to the HDMI-output, which is connected to the ONE HDMI-input port on your monitor's screen.

I went to best buy today to talk with a windows expert since i wasn't getting anywhere lol. He said the model i have does not come with both HDMI In nor Out and there's no way to change such a computer. There's just got to be... i can't return the computer.

Your Switch has HDMI-output.
Does your computer have VGA output, and/or DVI output, and/or HDMI output, or and/or DisplayPort output?
What video-inputs does your monitor have? VGA? DVI? HDMI? DisplayPort?
If your monitor has more than one video-input, you can switch it to "listen" to the desired video-input, by using the monitor's OSD (On Screen Display) buttons.
