To reduce heat on my elitedesk 800 g5 mini - can I replace the cover with a vented cover from other mini ie: g4, g3, g2, g1.  Will it fit? Also is there any company that supplies parts or do you have to go on EBAY and wait?

Hi, Pat:

The case looks like the same design as my 800 G3 DM.

The G2 and G1 have totally different covers.

However, the top covers may have different release latches.

Mine has a release latch that slides open to unlock it.

I cannot find a part number for the cover.

I did a search on eBay for an 800 G5 DM top cover and this one for a G3 showed up in the search, but it was for the 35W model with the solid cover and not the 65W model with the vented cover.

I think you are going to have a very hard time finding just an access cover for the 65W model.

I did find a stripped down 800 G3 65W DM PC on eBay which has the vented cover:

But I believe your PC's cover is held on by a thumb screw not a sliding latch, so I don't know if the G3 cover would work.
