hp 6200
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi

I have hp 6200 (8 GB RAM) installed WIN 7 on it.

In the computer property it show 8 GB (3318 MB usable),  I checked the resource monitor too, it shows 4874 MB memory is hardware reserved! I also unchecked "Maximum memory" in the boot tab in system config, but nothing changed.

Can anyone help me with this!

Cheers

Hi:

The answer to that question is simple...

A 32 GB operating system can only 'see and use' a maximum of 4 GB.

If you want close to the 8 GB to show up, you will need to install a 64 bit OS.
