Microsoft Windows 11

Hi so i have a so the only information i have about my computer is that its a Hp pavilion gaming desktop tg01 1xxx i don't know why its 1xxx i don't know if that the model or where i can find the actual numbers but i do know that my gpu is the geforce gtx 1650 super and my cpu is the intel core i5 10400F and some of my games keep crashing so im gonna buy a better cpu the intel core i7 10700F and what i found out is that they recommend that i buy the hp l05757 800 500 watt power supply and i just want to ask if i should buy that one and if it will fit into my computer and if i should buy any adapter for it to plug into my mother board which is the HP 8767 or if there is another power supply that would be better to purchase instead because if I'm correct my current power supply said max 310 watts and when i added all the components together plus the new cpu im gonna buy it was close to 300 watts so they recommended that i should buy a power supply that is at least 450-500 watts so can you help me out with this?

@H4nn1s,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your HP Pavilion TG01-1xxx as fitted with the Baker motherboard (SSID: 8767) is indeed compatible with the 500-watt (p/n: L05757-800) power supply, which is powerful enough to power graphics cards such as smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4070 Ti or RTX 5070 Ti cards.

A smaller-sized 500-watt power supply option has p/n: 901759-013.

Another power supply upgrade option would be a 400-watt unit, with p/n: L04618-800 or 942332-001.

A 400-watt power supply can power up to a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 or RTX 5070.

Kind Regards,
