Hi:

 

Yes, it can be upgraded, but HP has removed any relevant info regarding the motherboard specs from the internet.

 

I found this similar model in the HP part surfer website, and it has the same motherboard as yours, and it came with an Intel Core i5-430M Dual-core processor - 2.26GHz

So, at least you know you can upgrade to that one.
