Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does either a 24 pin or a 6 pin power connector have a real advantage over the other. Having to use public terminal mostly. So this may get confusing. The psu in system went. Having hard time finding a 6 pin, 4 pin and one resembling a floppy drive only power connector. It is a hp elite 800. I will get, with hesitation, an adaptor and 24 pin psu. Part number on bad one is 702306 301.

@arapla , welcome to the Community.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

The information  is D8C59UT##ABA. However, I still would like knowing if there is a advantage to 24 or 6 pin terminal,

Thank you for the additional information, @arapla!

The 24-pin connector would normally be used for more powerful computers.  If your motherboard came with a 4-pin connector it may be difficult to find an adapter that will convert it to a 24-pin connector.
