I am looking to upgrade my psu on my hp 595-p0074 computer  im looking for a compatible psu  for this motherboard does anyone know what i should get?  as I am also planing on adding a Gforce GTX 1660 gpu

That's quick you read my reply already.  Very sorry to tell you HP is now using proprietary MB and PSU designs. HP is including higher wattage PSU in certain systems.

 

I can't find a 450W for you as recommenced from Nvidia but the GTX 1660 consumes 120 W max

From my calculation 180 W + 120 W = 300 W therefore 400W should be more than enough. You can buy 400 W PSU part #  L04618-800 for other HP 595-0050 machine
