Due to a minor accident (leaned on the wall), when I start the PC and run diagnostics, I get the message " No Hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly". Is this due to a loose connection or is the hard drive gone? Thanks in advance

Hello
if the hard drive has received a shock, maybe it is damaged yes
So you have to open the computer, to do that disconnect everything!
remove the power plug, press the on / off button for at least 30 sec
Unplug the hard drive complete, then plug it back in.
reconnect everything, reconnect the computer, restart, if not better the hard drive is certainly HS!

if the disc is not recognized, very little chance
You should have another computer, remove the hard drive, and connect it with a usb adapter.
Otherwise, you have to go through a professional and there it can be very expensive, and not guaranteed to recover everything!
Is the disc not visible at all in the bios?

Thanks for your help so far. The disk is not being recognized in the BIOS. I think this is not working. As a last resort, I want to try to get some data that is on this (most of the data is on the cloud, but there are some files tied to some software). Can anyone tell me how to connect the hard disk through a USB and see if I can retrieve the data. Thanks in advance

if you have a sata hard drive, you need a usb adapter like this:
https://www.amazon.com/SATA-Drive-Adapter-Converter-Power/dp/B07PVX682Q/ref=lp_3015394011_1_9?s=pc&i...
the hard drive connects to it, and you connect it to a functional computer.
(just for example )
Check the type of adapter according to your hard drive, and the computer, where to connect it
