Machine is inert. No indication of power-in. Small LED next to power jack on stand does not light up when the power adaptor (checked, good) is plugged in.
Removed bottom cover and found a small circuit board inside, with the input jack for the power adaptor on it, and very little else except for an 8-pin connector for the wire that connects with the rest of the machine, as well as the small LED to indicate power is plugged in, which is right next to the power input jack.
LED is inert when power adaptor is plugged into the jack on the small board, with the board disconnected from the rest of the machine.
Playing around with it, the LED would occasionally flicker briefly with the 8-pin wire connected, but it never stayed on.
Presume this "da0nz8pb4e0 Rev. E" board or the 8-pin wire leading back to the rest of the machine is somehow failing and would like to test this with a replacement part(s).
Cannot find "da0nz8pb4e0 Rev. E" board anywhere. Just a few stray hits, all leading to dead links, eBay pages saying it can't be found, or misdirections to spammyscammy web pages.
If anybody knows where to locate one of these, that would be most helpful in my continued efforts to bring this otherwise very nice HP all-in-one back to life.
Kindest thanks, in advance.
