Pavilion 590 p0117c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was curious as of anyone knew what brand of ram was in this pc, I ordered one and its supposed to be here soon, so I'd like to go ahead and put more ram in it as soon as it arrives, but without actually being able to pry it open and find out the brand, I'm sort at a deadlock lol. I know that as long as the PCi and DDR are the same, and that its a 288 pin, it'll be fine. But I would like to save money and just buy a singular bit of ram, instead of having to spend +$70 on a whole new set.

Hi:

HP uses memory from multiple sources...Micron, Samsung, Hynix...

Run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below and it should tell you the manufacturer of the memory chip.

Below is the parts list for your PC.

http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?type=PROD&SearchText=5QA45AA

The HP part number for the memory chip in there now is 934254-800

The part is not orderable from HP.
