Thank you for responding,

This is the Riddle_Decipher, again!

I'm glad it's all supported and it should work great, however, as mentioned before the options to change the clock speed among others within the BIOS is not an option,

It's locked and managed by the system, if and when the device requires more speed, it would automatically activate the same, so you don't have to tweak it on your own.

I hope that answers your query,

Welcome to the HP Forums,

We'll be with you until it's all sorted & beyond!

Did you know the settings you want to change are system managed and cannot be changed manually?

If not, I'm afraid that's true as the settings are locked by the system as HP ha pre-designed the device to run at its optimal performance.

No, i just looked ay my the computer speccs from your site. And it said this , supports:

  • Two DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
  • Supports PC4-19200 (DRR4-2400)
  • Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
  • Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers

so i got 2x 8gb ddr4 udimm 2400mhz 288-pin sockets so i should be able to change the speed to 2400mhz since it says o in the computer speccs....

@raisy,

It looks like you were interacting with @Riddle_Decipher, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,

After reviewing your post thoroughly, I see that you still have concern regarding the ram speed. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this.

Here's the Motherboard specification, Basswood - Click here for Instructions

As I understand you would like to know how to increase system reserved Video RAM in Bios.

As suggested by my colleague HP PC's uses a customized Bios setting (Tattooed BIOS) of which some features are locked.

This is done in the best interest of safeguarding the PC for the optimal performance and not to cause any extensive component failure.

I hope this answers your question. Let us know if you need any assistance.

Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂
Regards,
