HP 280 G1 MT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am in Zambia and would like to upgrade the RAM on an HP 280 G1 MT as performance on the machine has become extremely slow. I assume this would resolve the problem, Have done defrag and disc cleanup, antivirus is current. Could you advise on possible compatible products?

Hi,

Your system supports max 16GB of DDR3 1600 Mhz RAM (2x8GB). It also has dual channel support. So for best performance and stability it is best to have two sticks of exactly the same RAM in each slot. You can find kits online especially designed for this purpose.

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x4GB-1600MHz/dp/B00J8E93G6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=15069...

I would also run an anti-malwae program which might pick up PUPs, trackers and other Malware not eliminated by anti-virus. Try Malwarebytes anti-malware (free) and perform a scan.

Hope it helps,

David
